Tumors within the uterine wall are known as fibroids. These tumors are most of the time benign. It is present in most of the women. It could be as small as a pea or as big a cantaloupe. The size depends on the estrogen rate in many cases it does not cause any problem but in some women the fibroid can be a real nuisance. It can cause bleeding problem, many suffer from cramps and pain in the abdominal region during menstrual period. Some fibroids become very big and press on the other organs in the reproductive system. It can also cause infertility.

Many a times we see that many women have bulky uterus. This could be due to big fibroids within the uterus. Many a times it has been seen that uterus dips or come way down. This also causes bulky uterus. The weight gain around the uterus makes one look that they are pregnant.

Many a times the ovarian cyst can become malignant. It is always better to check it up when one experiences cramps during the menstrual period. It can be diagnosed while routine check up. If ovarian cyst is malignant it is better to remove the cyst before it becomes severe and fatal.
